FPC is once again offering youth basketball that participates in the UCAL league against other area Christian churches and schools. Boys and girls in grades 2-5 are eligible. We will also offer a kindergarten and 1st grade clinic that coincides with the season.  Volunteer coaches are needed for all teams!

Registration will be on Monday October 1 from 8-4 only and then will continue on Saturdays only from 8-noon in October. Registration forms will NOT be accepted at any other time. Please do not leave registration forms on the FIT desk as we are not responsible for lost forms. All players MUST attend a mandatory evaluation unless they are told otherwise by a coach or UCAL director, on Saturday, November 3 so that teams may be divided evenly.

Team Selection
We will once again select teams by using a draft system. Each participant must attend a player evaluation session (including all coach’s kids). The player evaluations will take place on November 3 in the Grand Hall.  Players will be notified of their team assignment by  November 5.

Coaches
All coaches will be assigned prior to November 5. If you are interested in coaching, please contact James Brewster, 713.620.6406 or ucal@fpchouston.org, and complete a Commitment to Coach form to turn in with your child’s registration.

Practices
Practices will begin the week of November 5. Each team will practice once a week on Saturdays. Practice schedules will be available on the FPC website as well as communicated from your coach.

Games
Games will begin November 26 and will end in early February. All games will be held during the week at various churches in the area. The official UCAL website will maintain all game schedules.
