One of the great resources of First Presbyterian Church Houston is a financial legacy --a permanent endowment to support mission and ministry within our congregation and around the globe.  - Many FPC members have invested in ministries that are important to them by leaving a legacy of support through planned gifts.
Many Christians take steps to continue their commitment to the church and other Christian causes beyond their monthly tithes and offerings by making a gift to the endowment fund. These gifts include bequests in their wills and tax-wise life income plans.
Cornerstones for Christ
Bequests are an increasingly popular way for Presbyterians to continue their support after their lifetimes. Those who notify our church that they have placed FPC in their will or in their planned giving program are identified as Cornerstones for Christ.
Stepping Stones for Christ
The Stepping Stones for Christ program provides an easy and affordable opportunity for members to invest in the endowment fund. For just $500, paid over a one to five-year period, many members have invested in this very important area of our beloved church's life.

To top How are gifts from the endowment awarded?
The Planned Giving & Endowment Committee is responsible for encouraging new gifts and informing church members of giving opportunities.
The Permanent Funds Committee processes written requests for gifts; and makes sure donor's wishes are honored. Permanent funds support ministry opportunities outside FPC's annual budget.
The Texas Presbyterian Foundation (TPF) professionally manages Permanent Funds of FPC and also provides consultation to the church and to potential donors.
