Middle School (Grades 6-8)
The name of the Middle School Ministry is F.U.E.L.; something consumed to produce energy. Just like an engine needs fuel to start running, our lives need fuel as well.
Unite as a part of the Body of Christ
Love God and love others
9:30 – 10:45 am, LC 080
Make new friends and learn more about the Lord every Sunday morning. Meet as a group each week to hang out together and then break up into grade and gender specific small groups to really dive into the Bible and grow closer to God.
Sunday Evenings, 6 – 7:30 pm, LC 080
This is a time for all Middle School students to come together to eat pizza, play games and have a short devotional to help them gain Momentum to start their school week off right.
Great 8 is a hang out time just for our 8th graders. We will do a different activity each month. Check the calendar for dates.
Tuesdays, 6:30–8 pm
For any Middle School student who wants to dive deeper into their faith. Meetings are every Tuesday night in the Middle School Basement (LC080). Youth eat together and then have a small group Bible study and discussion. Contact Denver McCollister, 713-620-6419.
Friday Night Out (FNO)
Meet up one Friday a month for a fun night out with all of your friends. FNO’s include a lock-in, broomball and more great surprises. Check the calendar for dates and keep your ears and eyes open for details!
This is an awesome opportunity to serve other people within the community. A different project every month provides plenty of great opportunities to have fun and serve together. Check the calendar for dates.
Many other activities go on throughout the year like a 6th grade retreat, a 7th/8th grade retreat, a spring retreat and various other activites. These are great opportunities for students to join in fellowship and get to know each other better! Keep tuned in to the calendar for dates.
Each summer, Middle School students are offered various trips designed to deepen their relationship with God and strengthen their friendships with each other including a mission trip, an adventure trip and several short trips designed to allow students to grow closer together as the body of Christ. Middle School Summer trip information for 2012 will be announced soon.
